Screencastify
2021-2022
As the first full time marketing designer to join the Screencastify team, I developed, maintained and advocated for the company’s brand guidelines.
I was responsible for designing all print and web-based marketing assets and for ensuring a consistent identity across all design elements.
Screencastify has since undergone a rebranding.
JUMP TO:
Screencastify Style Guide
When I was brought on as the first full time designer for Screencastify there was not yet a cohesive set of design brand guidelines.
My first project on the team was to own the build out of the brand’s design language. I codified the existing design language, added further guidelines, generated example assets and created the guide itself.
Rather than a PDF based book, the style guide is hosted online using Frontify. All fonts, colors, icons and assets can be downloaded directly for ease of use.
Blog & Social Media Imagery
Selection of blog and social media imagery I created on a weekly basis for the marketing team.
Large Scale Print Projects
Billboards
The billboards were part of a nationwide marketing campaign to thank school districts for using the Screencastify product and to encourage them to renew their contracts.
There were 19 billboards located in various states, predominately print with some LED, and each with unique specifications from the print shops.
An accompanying social media campaign sent swag to teachers who found the billboards and posted a selfie with it.
Large Scale Print Projects
Trade Show Booth
I designed the booth to align with the new branding I developed for Screencastify. Expecting that many people would stand around and in front of it, I created the design to be simple (not text heavy). It features a tall logo placement and the unique pink brand color.
The booth is used by Screencastify at education trade shows across the USA.
Teaser Video
Walkthrough video to announce and visually share new features to the product.
Brief
With several new updates to the product, the Go-To-Market teams requested a teaser video that walks through the changes in a quick, digestible way.
The video was placed on the Screencastify website, shared on social media, YouTube, and sent directly to potential accounts.
My Deliverables

Icon Library
In building out the brand language, I developed an icon library using the pink and blue style, as well as versions in monochromatic color-ways of pink, blue and white.
The icons are used across various collateral, including: PDFs, slide decks and on the website.
Engagement Ebook
In collaboration with the content and professional development teams, I designed an interactive ebook to promote teachers’ usage of Screencastify products.
Pricing PDF
The company shifted to product led growth and changed the pricing structure of subscription.
My task was to create a PDF that clearly breaks down the complex pricing and packaging of the product.
